Praise indeed!

Hello there

I just wanted to write and tell you what an enormous pleasure it was visiting the Old Course on Wednesday 6th June. I could not have felt more welcome and I was fascinated by the stories and history that surround the 9 holes which you told me about - especially Old Tom Morris walking off to sit in Mrs Forman's pub after the 4th! It was also amazing to play with the hickory clubs - I felt like I stepped back in time to 1913 or something.

It was also nice to be introduced to Alistair who was also very interesting and clearly passionate about golf and history. I left my mail for him as you may remember but have no heard anything yet. I would be interested in hearing more about the British Golf Collectors Society.

Thank you again for a memorable experience and all the best to you.

Hope to be back through again at some point.

We've had a great time again! We visited this past summer and introduced a friend to the magic of Musselburgh Old! Make sure you take a pilgrimmage to this historic site. You have to go!

I played the Old Golf Course at Musselburgh in 2007 with my Father and Brother - one of the 3 greatest expierences of my life. It is Scottish Golf at its' Very Best. This course is a World Treasure! Every Golf enthusiast MUST come and play.

I have had the pleasure of playing the links in 1995, 1998, 2008 and again in 2011. It is part of our visit to Scotland. I was an overseas member and this year was able to enjoy a round with rented hickories. This is a must for anyone with an interest in the history of the game. Enjoy!

P.S. If you're there during racing season, take in a race! Most fun.

Great to play the historical course.  Brilliant to see it well kept and a challenge worth taking.
